found it - thank you

Trying to change the colour of the confirmation text that appears after one sends the contact form. For now, the background is blue and the text is white but would like to have it on a black background.
Should I try a CSS script?

no script needed, just regular css.

I tried this and it did change the text fields, but not the send button. It remains blue with white text? How do I change the Send button to match my other colors? The same for the search button (on the search screen) -> i.e., I press the search button at the top of the page and a popup comes up with the search text field and a blue button. How do I change that blue button color?
Thanks so much!

you can change colors of those buttons in one of two ways.
The button colors inherits the "Accent" color that you set in the page template under the "Colors" tab.
But for general buttons, including the contact form button, you can select a different color under the "Typography" tab. Scroll down to "Buttons"
You can control the color of the search button in the top pallet by going to the "Top Pallet" tab
