I have a slideshow on my home page and do not want it to show with the other albums under /galleries.
The slideshow gallery is published to the default gallery publish service and I have turned on "Hide from Galleries" and "hide from search". My assumption is it should only appear when specifically called, such as "insert album" on the home page. However it still appears under /galleries.

The problem gallery is home-page-theater. It also shows another symbol before the name.
Am I approaching this correctly? If so, what is the issue? The only other way I can think of to accomplish this is to create another publish service.

That symbol, an eye with a slash through it, indicates that the album is hidden. The album is only visible when you’re also logged into Backlight in the same browser. Hidden albums and sets will show for you when logged in.
Take a look in a different browser or log out of Backlight and take a look.

Problem solved.
Thanks
I did not see this in the documentation.
A quick question on another topic I would like to add superscript text to the title of the wordpress blog and it will not accept markdown entries. I have been trying to figure out the CSS for this without success. Any ideas and/or good links to start learning CSS?

Could you post this as its own topic? That helps with searching and will also help attract others who may know the answer.
And post a link to your blog too so we can probe the page.
(WordPress does not accept Markdown)
my favorite resource so far for learning css is CSS: The Missing Manual
also, because I couldn't help looking it up , use the tag
https://www.w3schools.com/tags/tag_sup.asp
This can go in Masthead > Identity >Site Title pf the page template you're using for the theme.
But in the future, if you've got another question unrelated to the original topic, go ahead and start a new topic.

There are plugins for Wordpress that should allow you to use Markdown.
