Thanks, Rod.  I'll experiment with that and font size tomorrow.

Meanwhile, take care,

You have tons of information in this community, but I have not been able to successfully search for how to enable thumbnails for Album sets. I would love it if it could be random, taken from the albums in a particular set.

Right now, mine look like this:

Thanks,

To change the font-size of the breadcrumbs you'll need to use custom css.
The selector is: ul.breadcrumbs li

Thanks for this information.  Two questions comments.  I already have my custom css attached to my BC-FAP Basic template.

Where do I find, or where do I enter the ul.breadcrumbs li ?

I think I came up with a partial work-around by not showing breadcrumbs on one template.

Thanks,

Thanks, Rod, once again.

Definite Progress, but the heading shows Galleries with a down arrow (empty), and the font size does not match the other pages:

The Publisher API URL = http://www.bc-fineartphotography.com/TE … publisher/

Thanks, Rod.  I thought I followed your directions correctly, but apparently not.

I deleted the Galleries page:

PagesList.png

And updated my Design Menu Set. or at least I thought I did:

DesignMenuSet.png

So far, mostly good.

But, when you check out the header for this page/link, it shows Galleries>Galleries instead of simply Galleries:

GalleriesLink.png

Also, I need the header to match the font size as illustrated in the previous post.

Many thanks, as always,

Thank you, as always, Rod.  http://www.BC-FineArtPhotography.com/TE … backlight/

Until I am pretty satisfied, it is not live but in the sub-directory above.

I hope that works!  I know it is something ridiculously dumb I have not done!

Rod, Daniel, Ben, and Matthew, you have all been so tremendously helpful. Thank you.

I know this information is somewhere, but I have not searched in the right manner to bring up the answer.

I have a Galleries page that I would like populated with my various galleries, rather than a galleries set such as shown below:

GalleriesPage.png

I suspect I did not set up the Galleries page properly but am at a loss of what I did wrong.

Secondly, my Galleries page heading (not header) is not the same size as my other pages, in spite of their using the same css.

Correct look:

Thank you for any help you can give,

Rod,

Clearly, I am an idiot for not noticing the incorrect screen shot.  My apologies.  I really did have problems with the Publisher, but after reverting to LR 7.0.1 and re-upgrading a couple of times, and rebooting the computer, it did work.

Sorry for the bother, but perseverence paid off.

Take care,

I just upgraded to Lightroom 7.1 and found that the TTG Backlight + Pages plugin would not load onto my travel laptop with the following error message:

BacklightPluginErrorLoading.png

So, I reverted back to Lightroom 7.0.1, and it loads perfectly!

Just thought you would want to know.

Take care, and thanks for all these great plugins. I have been using various TTG ones for years.

TTG's search function is fine for my purposes, but I would like to apply my template to the page. I have searched in this forum, but can find nothing.

Can anyone help?

Many thanks,

The Theater add-in is working out well.  One small glitch on the Albums Set page:

One of the albums has been designated as not showing up, and yet it does.  Further, there is some sort of empty duplicate.

BacklightPublisherAlbums.png

I restarted Lightroom, optimizing the catalog in case there was some hold-over, but that didn't get rid of the recalcitrant albums.

Any suggestions?

Thanks, and take care,

I want to sometimes add slideshows without thumbnails to some of my pages.  As I peruse the various information, it would seem that I cannot do this with the regular Publisher but that the Galleria or Theater add-in might do the trick.  Yes?  No?  I do not want full-screen slide shows for this use.

Thanks,

I want to augment the css style sheet with elements of my own (colored image borders, my default colors, etc.)

Some have obviously been incorporated through Backlight Designer, but there are so many css files in backlight, I cannot seem to find the correct one.

Thanks, I hope,

My server guru is back home.

Everything, by the way, works perfectly on our fine-art site (of course, it would!)

He wrote:

however your stylesheets are not pointing to the directory  /TESTSERVER/backlight.  Currently it's pointing to the root directory of your site.

That makes sense to me in view of the success with the fine-art site.

Where are my stylesheets, as correcting the directory path is not an issue if I can just find it!

Many thanks,

  TBC/Margo

I was thinking the same thing, Rod.  Excellent suggestion!  Now, pardon my ignorance, but who is this "Ben" for whom I read references?

Thank you, I did check out that link when you first posted it, but I don't know how to access my BlueHost panel, and this would be the week that my server guy was away.

I shall have to be patient and await his return to the office over the weekend.  Meanwhile, I will pass along the information to him.

Thanks for all your patience and help.

I have even deleted the old folder created by Desktop Server, and with it, the templates, but I can recreate those a lot more easily now, so no drama.

Next step will be to run CCleaner and make sure there are no residual registry items, then reboot and see where I am.

Meanwhile, thanks again to both of you. I feel Murphy is an uninvited guest that eventually we will banish!

Same error message, I believe, but at least I can upload images.

When I try adding templates, I cannot save them!

And while we are at it, where are those templates saved?  I would like to retrieve the ones I had done before, since saved them in a different location.

In other words, remove everything, including test sites, (keeping galleries, of course, and templates) and start from scratch with backlight being put (from scratch) into my TESTSITE subfolder of our website.

I thought I had, but there must have been some holdover.

Thanks, and take care,

Just heard from my Bluehost person with the following:

... but a quick look at your source page and right away I notice the stylesheets are pointing to .../blacklight directory, which you do not have setup under your TESTSITE. You can't just move a site over unless you have the exact same subdirectories and links setup at the new location or they are renamed to show the new backlight file locations and modules.

<link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" media="all" href="http://www.bcphotoadventures.com.dev.cc/backlight/publisher/resource.php?template=6&extension=css&name=style" />

<link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" media="all" href="/backlight/modules/pangolin-core/static/css/font-awesome.min.css" />

<link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" media="all" href="/backlight/modules/pangolin-core/static/css/fonts.css" />

Of course, the weekend is coming, and he is in transit back home.

Is this something I can tweak?  And if so, how?

I assume that first one should now read:

<link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" media="all" href="http://www.bcphotoadventures.com/TESTSITE/backlight/publisher/resource.php?template=6&extension=css&name=style" />

Thanks,

Yes, I am.  Our IT person who put us on Bluehost should be able to deal with this; of course, he is on vacation, but his assistant should be able to help.  I know he keeps us up to date with latest versions of Bluehost.

Thanks again!  Glad it was not me this time.

Enjoy your weekend when and if you get to it.

Hmmm, cannot access my information.  Through Backlight, I logged in, or tried to, getting this screen...

This is what I got before when I was trying to transfer stuff over to the website in a subfolder.  I am sure it is one tiny thing, at least I hope so.

Thanks,

Thank you, Rod.  It all makes sense, so I shall henceforth ignore DesktopServer and deal strictly with Backlight.

And yes, I had already found the import/export feature for templates.

Onward and forward, I hope.
