#51 Re: Backlight 2 Support » Master Username/Password » 2018-09-13 05:24:40

A global login for publisher based password protection would be really usefull for me as well as to check each album I have to look through my list for each album and then login each. This was especially a pain recently as i was cheking all albums due to updating to BL 2.
For client based work I do exactluy as suggested I have a global client (me) and set then to access all CRG protected albums with this single login. It saves me having to look up client logins and as Matthew says it stops poluting client data.

Sorry what I meant was that the download link for the Lightroom plugin does not have a version number as it is outside the module table. Just a little concerned as the modules versions and update status are clear as a bell. But I could miss a plug-in update

To make it simpler and quicker to add Images could we have a link under the Publisher tab that goes straight to the List Albums page please.

Also is it by design, as it may create complications later, that I can also use backlight directly to add images to a lightroom album.

Not sure i would want to and expected it to be disabled but tried it anyway. And even republishing did not remove it

#54 Re: Backlight 2 Support » Backlight Update One Comment and one Question » 2018-09-12 05:34:12

It was just that all other modules look as if it would be obvious an update was available but with the Lightroom Plugin being a download and out side the update system, I was not sure if the plugin needed updating.

I mainly use Lightroom, but would like to have an album or two that do not use publisher can I have sperate albums in either different album sets or mixed in the same album set.

My existing site can be seen at My Site

I could have a seperate album set here, but would like to have a seperate album in the landscape section for images processed outside lightroom.

Found it Part of the sample PHP Plugin file provided. It was not commented out and I had just copied my code from previous file and left that in assuming it was needed.

#59 Re: Backlight 2 Support » error message regarding sessions » 2018-09-10 00:00:56

Fingers crossed the mod_redwrite for htaccess looks like it has fixed this problem as well

#60 Re: Backlight 2 Support » No Publisher Directory for the API » 2018-09-09 23:58:09

Sorted After Getting it to work on one site in the Sites folder by making sure rewrite_module was enabled. I then looked at the other folder and discovered a load of left over htaccess files once deleted so the only one was the latest in the Backlight folder everything works. So thanks for pointing me in the right direction.

Now to explore fully.

#61 Re: Backlight 2 Support » No Publisher Directory for the API » 2018-09-09 22:18:16

Think I have it
LoadModule rewrite_module libexec/apache2/mod_rewrite.so
this line in my conf file was disabled

The only issue is that my small test site I have got working is in username/Sites folder

However I have another folder /OneDrive/wwwPublish for my local working sites and this still does not work

#62 Re: Backlight 2 Support » No Publisher Directory for the API » 2018-09-09 22:05:04

These are the settings in my http-vhosts.conf file
<Directory "/Users/speacock/Sites/ttg-backlight-testing/">
Allow From All
AllowOverride All
Options +Indexes
Require all granted
</Directory>
<VirtualHost *:80>
    ServerName "test-ttg-bl.site"
    DocumentRoot "/Users/speacock/Sites/ttg-backlight-testing"
</VirtualHost>

plus AllowOverride All is sey in the main config file
    # AllowOverride controls what directives may be placed in .htaccess files.
    # It can be "All", "None", or any combination of the keywords:
    #   AllowOverride FileInfo AuthConfig Limit
    #
    AllowOverride All

Not copied as it was a hidden folder. Now copied to backlight folder but no change

#64 Re: Backlight 2 Support » error message regarding sessions » 2018-09-09 21:25:21

To make things easy everything has RW set on the directory

#65 Re: Backlight 2 Support » error message regarding sessions » 2018-09-09 20:40:08

Sorry cannot as this is my local version. As my main site is in use by clinets at the moment i do not wish to upload any files.

This is my normal way of working, I publish / change site design locally test then upload. To have the site working correctly i just need to change the site URL in settings and clear the template cache.

#66 Re: Backlight 2 Support » No Publisher Directory for the API » 2018-09-09 20:12:19

I also get this message when I try to view the top level gallery The requested URL /backlight/galleries/ was not found on this server.

my galleries folder is in the root not inside backlight,

Lightroom cannot find the Publisher directory, it is not in the backlight folder.

Also I am not applying any templates to my pages, looks very to how it looked when I forgot to clear the template cache. That does not do anything nor does update the albums

#68 Re: Backlight 2 Support » error message regarding sessions » 2018-09-09 19:37:36

Spoke to soon. Logged out to check the gallery, Got an error message that looked like a permissions thing so reset permissions. Then tried to log into admin and recieved the above errors so deleted the sessions and was able to login to admin

#69 Re: Backlight 2 Support » error message regarding sessions » 2018-09-09 18:59:11

Fixed it, realised that the sessions folder in data was original so deleted all its contents and started again

#74 Re: Backlight Support » Closed Feedback, cannot open » 2018-08-26 07:11:56

The problem was to clear feedback top start again the only way I have found is to delete the feedback in the Clent response feedback dailog. Unfortunatly if I dont select the feedback and set it to open before deleting it stays closed without the ability to reopen feedback for that album as there is no feedback number to click on. In the end I fixed the problem by changing the relavent field in the database from "closed" to "open".

It is a pity there is no easy way to reset the feedback, removing all coments etc. and then creating a new feedback thread.

I have recently completed all of the feedback requests for a client and updated the realvent Albums. To provide the ability to provide clean feedback i need to reset all of the feedback. The only way I have found to do this is to delete the feedback via Admin. Usually before I do this I open the album for feedback then delete existing feedback. Unfortunatly this time I forgot to set 1 Album's feedback to open before deleting the feedback it is now closed for feedback with no option to open. Any Ideas, or where to go in the database.
