That brings up another thing that's a bit confusing to a newbie... you talk of the CE4 and Backlight and the fact that they are different... but I just purchased yesterday... I'm working with whatever they sent me... so does that mean that there is a new Client Response thing coming or that I installed the wrong thing or posted in the wrong area or, or, or.... ?
Picking a specific photo did work! Thanks. Still would prefer to say Random but also be nice to limit to a particular gallery or galleries.
It's set to Random... and I have options of all the images from the sub-galleries but for some reason it isn't auto-populating.
Thanks for the response... I was headed in that direction. Do you know if there is a way to have is start as a slideshow rather than thumbnails? I'm not thinking a full screen slideshow but one that is constrained/embedded.
Any suggestions on a good way to add a automatic slideshow beneath the welcome text on the home page?
Very new to this. How do I get a thumbnail to show up on my gallery sets?
Thanks very much... I was comparing a couple of options yesterday and that must have been a feature in one of the competing products. Any talk about adding that?
Overall things seem to be working well so far, I really don't have much time to go deep with this some I'm just trying to get something reasonably functional to replace a mostly dead Flash based option I was previously using. Photography has a back seat right now but I still do enough that I'd prefer to have something rather than nothing.
I just setup my first page and gallery. Most things are working well so far, just a couple of questions.
1. I'm not seeing a way to rate the photo other than in the comment dialog, am I missing something? I thought a client would be able to apply star ratings in both the gallery view and the slideshow view?
2. I don't see a way to filter the images based on star ratings.
Thanks,
George
