Thanks!
Thanks guys for all the info... It is not the end of the world and I will just move everything one level lower... was just hoping to make the url easy to remember for clients. All good!
This really isn't my root folder.. it is a subdomain (clients.hursey.com) I created specifically for this.. and because of the portfolio service I use I am not able to use the main domain (Hursey.com) for anything other than the portfolio as the DNS points elsewhere...
Thanks for that!
Thanks! Noted! That was indeed the issue.
Thanks Rod.. the problem is that the url would be "clients.hursey.com/clients/clientname" (I HAVE to use a subdomain)
This all worked nicely in CE4.. just growing pains...
Thanks so much Rod.
Okay.... setting up a separate instance for each client is not a viable solution. And I REALLY do want the simple URL. Maybe the .htaccess idea might be a solution... Will look forward to Ben or Matt weighing in?
In order to set up a top level folder would I have to create a new instance of the publisher for each client?
And alternately would I set up publisher in Lightroom to publish to the /galleries folder to resolve it?
you see that the galleries are out there and strangely the single page rendition works fine.. it is just the slideshow that isn't happy
Okay so I guess this is the issue.. is there a way to have the root directory host the galleries, rather than the gallery folder? I would prefer to be able to send my clients simple links like "clients.hursey.com/fritz" rather than "clients.hursey.com/galleries/fritz"
This problem was happening before I added that code... also I just tried removing it and the problem persists.
I am noticing a DOUBLE forward slash on my galleries.. is that normal?
hmmm... I am using Classic but the icons impend regardless of orientation....
Thanks Rod... Just wanted to make sure I was not missing some functionality somewhere...
I have created some galleries that display in slideshow mode. However regardless of computer (macs), devices (iPhones, iPads), or browser (Safari or Chrome) the galleries all freeze / lock up if I try to exit by clicking the "X" in the upper left OR by hitting the escape key...
Perfect! Thanks yet Again!!!
Thanks!
Is there a way to add an html script to the pages.. there was in CE4... hoping the same is true here.
I deleted a gallery and set up a new one.. however the old one still shows and when clicked on I get a 404 error. Is there a way to clear this out?
Is there a way to not have the selection and feedback icons overlap the corners of the thumbnail images?
I just wanted to confirm that Backlight DOES NOT have the functionality like the old CE4 galleries where you could open multiple images simultaneously to compare .... correct?
In tech support with hosting we found the fix....
"increased max_execution time, php_mem_limit and post_max_size on the php.ini file."
My memory limit is 128m, can you reccomend what it should be? OR should I copy and paste the chunk command into the php.ini file and if so , is there a specific place I need to put it?
I tried raising the limit to 256 and also tried (separately) pasting the chunk command into my php.ini file and got the same results with both...
