#26 Re: CE4 Client Response Gallery » CRG Help! » 2017-06-02 00:20:43

Rod,

Nothing's changed at the host (Bluehost) that I know of.  I'll send Ben my ttg-be admin credentials and FTP access.

Thanks!

Alan

Ben and Others,

I setup CRG about a year ago with Ben's and Rod's help (there was an issue at Bluehost). I infrequently use it, but have an important need for CRG in the next few weeks.  Yesterday, I tried to go into TTG Admin and every time I entered my username and password, it cycled back with a blank username and password.  I even did the password retrieve to be sure I was using the correct password, which I was.

I then went to my website, went to the gallery where I had used CRG, logged in with username and password of the last person who had access to the gallery and the same thing happened - during login in, it cycled back with the login screen with blanks for the username and password.  I have purchased Backlight and intend to set it up in the next few months, but I need CRG to work before then.

Any suggestions?

Hi Rod,
Thanks. I am using the latest versions of TTG-BE, CE4 Publisher and CRG.  I'm also using Bluehost, so I assume hosting isn't the problem.  It's probably something very simple and stupid that I've done or haven't done, so hopefully Ben will have an idea!

I have been using Publisher for some time and am now trying to setup CRG.  I'm having a problem reaching the Dashboard menu.  I have setup the ttg-be/crg folder.  I used the "retrieve forgotten passwords" because the default didn't work.  I tried both usernames and passwords, but after entering, the Dashboard never appeared - the login screen remained, but nothing happened, regardless of which user/pw I entered.  Any ideas?!
Thanks!

Rod,
Thanks!  It took me a while, but I finally have it working.  On to WordPress!

I have selected a cover image for each album.  Since I'm trying to use custom thumbnails, should the custom thumbnail name be different from the original thumbnail name?  I would have thought that if there was a custom thumbnail folder it would look there first???

Rob, I so very greatly appreciate your help and the support to provide to all of us!  I do want to use custom thumbnails with the iconic layout.  I have created 300px long edge thumbnails.  I am using Publisher, and I've read through the links and documents you provided at least a dozen times!  In Gallery, I have added to the item Album Thumbnail under Color Palette,  /galleries/custom-thumbnails/.  In Publisher, "galleries" is the top level galleries directory.  I have re-exported my gallery template and copied the relevant files/folders into the appropriate ttg-be folder.  I have FTPd /custom-thumbnails/ inside the top level "Galleries" folder.

But I must be doing something wrong, or missing a step because the Galleries Main page still have low rez thumbnails. Sorry to keep asking.

I've just converted from CE3 to CE4 and all seems to be great except one issue.  On my new Galleries main page (within Pages) the small images for each of the galleries are each very fuzzy - like they're low rez.  Is there something I can do to generate better quality thumbnails?  I'm using the iconic layout.  If there is a way to generate higher rez thumbnails, is there a suggested size and where do i put them?
Thanks!

I am in the process of converting over from CE3 to CE4.  In CE3 Pages, my Galleries page was very simple.  I had 6 columns and 3 rows of images with the gallery title below the thumbnail (i.e. a total of 18 galleries).  In CE3 I had selected Gallery Index Style of "Polaroid."  I can't seem to be able to duplicate that Galleries page "look" in CE4.  In CE4 are you only able to have 4 columns?  Is there any way to put the Title below the thumbnail.
Sorry if all of this is obvious, but I've spent a considerable amount of time trying to figure it out!
Thanks.

Rod, I don't even want to ask Network Solutions about a refund until everything is moved over and working!  But I will!

What is the recommended service package - Standard or Pro?  There's a big difference in cost, so I want to make sure I get what the TTG plug-ins need.  With my network Solutions issues with Publisher, I'm throwing away the remaining two years on my Network Solutions contract, so I don't want to waste money for the Bluehost Pro package if it's unnecessary.

Matthew, I assume it's beneficial to you/TTG if I sign up with Bluehost from your link?

The timely support and guidance provided by Matthew and Rod is GREATLY appreciated!  While the documentation is extensive, it can also be overwhelming.  Rod and Matthew are always there and have saved me many, many hours of time and frustration, most of the frustration based on my foolish mistakes and lack of knowledge and experience with websites.

Thank You!
