In my galleries I have photographs that have either 2X3, 1X2, or 1X3 proportions. Each image is only available in that size proportion. For example a client can purchase a 2X3 proportion image in a 12 X 18 inch print or a 24 X 36 inch print, but not in a 12 X 24 inch or 24 X 36 inch print. Each proportion has its own product and pricing scheme. For example 1X3 proportion (panoramas) have their own product with the size attribute listing the correct sizes available, and a corresponding pricing scheme.
If there is a mix of images with these proportions in each album, is it possible to set up cart pricing profiles for each proportion? In Publisher under the Album Features tab it appears you can only select one pricing profile for an album. Does this mean I have to separate my images into different galleries (albums) according to their proportion. For example all of my panoramas (1X3 proportion) in an album with their pricing scheme.
I hope this is not the case, because from an aesthetic/design standpoint it will be very odd to arrange photo galleries by image proportion as opposed to more natural criteria such as subject or location.
This appears to be a major limitation to Cart. Is there a way of getting around this so that published galleries can have a mix of proportioned images, and when one is added to the shopping cart only the correct size attributes and pricing appear for that proportion?
I revised my gallery template, uploaded it to the appropriate template folder. I then remarked my album photos to be republished. When I try to publish, the following message appears:
Warning
Can't update this collection
The album has not been created on the server. Please wait a short while and try again.
If this problem persists, try updating the album details, or remove and re-create the album.
The album does in fact exist on the server, for example
http://ioscapes.com/galleries/4-winter/
Any other options other than having to remove and re-create the album?
one other thought, it seems that when the publishing fails and the error message appears, that after I click OK, the ability to resume republishing seems to be a matter of waiting a 60 to 90 seconds. I originally thought I needed to quick LR and restart, but I have found I can start republishing after waiting a minute or two from where Publisher left off when it was interrupted by the error message.
I deleted the gallery on the server and the publisher album setup and recreated a new album and republished. It seems to work OK now.
Thanks for your help
every album has the problem, here is the link to one of the galleries.
the new name was selected in the template drop-down in Album set up. I only have one template, so it just automatically selected that template, the new renamed one. This is why I switched back to the original name, so that my albums are available.
Setting this issue aside, my main problem is that after I updated the Gallery Template with the correct Output Settings Publisher Setup, the published album is missing files it needs. The result is the following message at the gallery link
http://ioscapes.com/galleries/5-rural-landscapes/
Forbidden
You don't have permission to access /galleries/5-rural-landscapes/ on this server.
Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.
I have re uploaded the gallery template several times, but this doesn't solve the problem.
Any idea on how to get the template to properly create the gallery album?
I regularly encounter a problem with Publisher. The problem occured with CE3 and now with CE4 Publisher. When I click in Lightroom to publish an album or republish photos in an album, about halfway through the publishing process I get the following mesage:
Warning
Can't update this collection.
Error uploading rendition.
Unable to complete the action.
Headers: { [error]=> { [errorCode} =>
"badServerResponse" [name] =. "The server returned an
invalid or unrecognized response
" [nativeCode] => 12152
I quit LR, restart, click the publish button, and the publishing picks up where it left off, then after several more photos are published, the above error message reappears.
I repeat the process of quitting LR, restarting LR, restarting the publishing process, until all of the photos are published. It can easily take six or more attempts to publish an album of 25-30 photos.
When I originally built my website using CE3, I never had this problem. Then it just started happening. I had hoped it would go away when I built the site from scratch using CE4, but the problem has continued.
This really slows down the process of troubleshooting other issues with the CE pluggins, since it becomes a time consuming task to publish photos and check the results.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I changed the template folder name back to CE 4 Gallery from CE_4_Gallery, since I couldn't update the albums.
OK I updated the Output Settings. I also change the folder name from to CE 4 Gallery to CE_4_Gallery. The Publisher album reflects the new template name, but when I try to publish the album I get the following message:
Can't Update This Collection
Unable to perform action: getSetupForTemplate
Message: Renditions file is empty
Any thoughts on why I can not publish the album?
Thanks
I wanted to add my copyright notice to the caption for photos viewed in the slide show mode. Originally I had a custom configuration for caption:
{Filename>>} - {Title>>} - {Caption>>}
This worked fine. I changed it to
{Filename>>} - {Title>>} - {Caption>>} - {Copyright>>}
I upoaded the new gallery template to /ttg-be/templates/gallery/CE 4 Gallery
I republished one of my gallery albums. When I look at it in the Slide show mode, I only see the original caption content fields: Filename, Title, and Caption. NO copyright information.
When I view the images in Slide Show mode in the Lighttoom preview, the copyright information is correctly displayed.
I tried clearing the browser cache and this has no effect. If I try changing one of the metadata fields, for example Caption, and republish the photo. The metada is updated correctly.
Can any one explain how to change the CE4 Gallery template, Image Info, Labels, Caption, Custom settings, so that these changes are reflected in the Gallery slide show?
If it is helpful, you can check the gallery that I have updated at

Thanks for your help.
I am creating tables using MarkdownPad 2. The two right columns I right aligned the prices. In MardownPad they look right aligned, however when I copy and paste them into the Sidebar Copy (MD) in Lightroom, they do not right align in the table. Also, when I upload the pages to my web server, they do right align when viewed in the web browser. Here is an example for one row showing the html codes that MarkdownPad creates:
<tr>
<td>20” X 30”</td>
<td align="right">$300</td>
<td align="right">$750</td>
</tr>
The website can be viewed at www.ioscapes.com
On the Purchase page you can see the issue.
Thanks for your help.
Thanks, I made the changes and it looks good.
If you go to the media page and click on one of the video links, the page with either video illustrates the problem. You will see that all of the other pages have the correct navigation container top and bottom borders.
Thanks for your help
Thanks, I have been able to set up up my first CE4 Stage videos. However, there is a problem with the Navigation container borders on the Stage pages. I have posted this issue under the CE4 Stage forum.
I just created two CE4 Stage videos. The navigation container top and bottom borders are set at 2 px, border style is set to solid. These are the same settings for the rest of my website. However when my website is viewed online or in the Lightroom preview, on these two pages (with the video) the bottom border displays as a double border (thin plus very thick). Every other page displays normal, solid.
I assume this is a bug and wanted to bring it to your attention.
I want to learn how to set up videos on my CE4 website using CE4 Stage. I can not find any documentation explaining how to do this. Does the documentation exist and if so what is the link?
If there is no documentation, can I assume that the CE3 Stage documentation is applicable to using CE4 Stage?
Thanks
That would be great if you can add the alignment features. CE4 Pages new two column layout option plus the ability to float an image in one of the column has opened a lot more design possibilities than CE3. Being able to align the media area still image would help to take advantage of these possibilities. In the same line of thinking, if greater control over the gallery / galleria slide show could be provided, alignment, position in one of the columns, that would greatly enhance its usefulness when using two column layouts. I used to include the galleria slide show on my home page in CE3, but now that I have gone to a two column layout, the inability to align and restrict the galleria slide show to the left or right column, makes it much less desirable for use in this type of layout. So I have stopped using it.
Thanks for your great work
On my About page, under Media Area, I have added a still image, priority beneath content. CE4 insists on positioning it exactly centered in the page container. I want to have the image aligned left so that it's left side lines up with the text above and my navigation items and my masthead (which are all left aligned). Is it possible to control the left/right position of the image in the media area with out throwing the alignments off in my other pages. The About page is the only page where the media area has been assigned a still image. On all of the other pages the media areas are disabled.
Thanks for your help.
