I think the problem is solved. I clicked the "Update Album Files" link on the front page of the Backlight Dashboard as directed by Rod. Now all the symbols are present. Thanks for the "vacation day" support.
Gary
The icons for ZOOM, ETC. fail to just a gibberish including the Forward Backward symbols.
Here is an example:
Could you please direct me to a post that would help me understand how to use css in backlight?
Thanks.
Once again I show my inexperience and dumbness.
Will there be a BLOG option?
I have never had one before but have a need for one now.
How do you define a BLOG page?
What does it do differently from other pages?
I had created an Album -> Athenss, as a test album. I did not want that after testing. So I deleted the album in Filezilla and removed the album from the LR Publisher. It still shows up here:
What to do now?
That did it, what I was missing was that I had to republish to accomplish the size changes. Thanks.
No matter what I vary, when I press the little 'slant' icon I can get no larger than 1122 X 740, or something close, Where can we alter the 'large image' size.
I want to display the identity plate on desktop but not when viewed on fone/tablet. Is that possible?
Solved, I had defined the layout as "one column, no tray", when i changed that it works fine.
When I load the site on a tablet or fone, the menu items i.e. Galleries About Contact Search, do not show up. there is no way to get further into the site.
On desktop all works fine.

To quickly answer your second question, the answer is yes. Take a look at Graceson's test site:
http://release.gracesonaufderheide.com/ and take a look at his custom css file.
Apparently I am way way behind. How do we look at theCSS file on the aufderheide site?
What about index.php which is in the 1.01 backup directory?
Have you tried clearing the cache and history in Firefox. I usually do that often. Just press Ctrl+Shft+Del and choose what you want deleted. Hope this helps.
The only problem I ran into was the 'live' site could not utilize the Masthead image I had previously uploaded. I tried resetting the image name, didn't work, had to reupload the image and give it another name. It worked.
I want to copy the 'testing' site http://garyphotosgallery.com/garylittle/ to the new 'live' site just to make certain at that time it will work.
I tried just copying everything over to /public_html in my Bluehost base site.
When I enter http://garyphotosgallery.com I get the first page (without the masthead image ??) but when I try to go the /Galleries (or any other page) it somehow brings up the testing site url Http://garyphotosgallery.com/garylittle/galleries, etc.
I am missing something (probably because I have never done this before.
Any Help??
Is it possible to define what metadata image properties are used in the two settings in the Thumbnail Presentation Designer?
Somewhere in the documentation I thought I had read that there was a setting to NOT allow downloading. Is that true or not. I can't seem to find it. There is a setting in LARGE IMAGE PRESENTATION that indicates "Image Download" and i have set it to OFF. But still am able to download the image.
I just have to say that I purchased the Backlight+pages and within 25 minutes I WAS PUBLISHING GALLERIES...!!!
This is clearly a huge step forward. Actually I had stopped trying to use the CE3/CE4 because of the horrible Lightroom support. I am now back and extremely enthusiastic about this new product.
I looked this morning and indeed it is working. What do we have to do to insure the index.php file is uploaded when we install??
Thank you very much for this...!!!

I sent the site credentials via email.
I did not create a new template. I just went to Backlight design/contact and changed the text. I hit saved at the bottom of the page. When I look at the site, I get an internal error. Here is the error message when I try to see the Contact page:
Internal Server Error
The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.
Please contact the server administrator, webmaster@garyphotosgallery.com and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.
More information about this error may be available in the server error log.
Additionally, a 500 Internal Server Error error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request. One thing I noticed is that the ?autorefresh on the url stays on for many minutes. ??
I have a dual monitor system, so I use one for the Backlight Editor and the second to show the results of changes I make.
Problem:
I in the Backlight design I change items both in the Home and in the Contact. When I look at the site no changes have been made. Not quite certain what to do at this time.
I always delete the last four hours of the cache, I use Firefox on Windows 10.
Here is a link: http://garyphotosgallery.com/garylittle/galleries as a test site.
Yes and now I have to login? I don't know the login parameters since I never did define it as a password protected page.
Now the page looks just fine but the items, selection, feedback symbols do not show up as they do when looking at the page in LR.
here is the site page:

I have used only CE4 engines and modules. I have a gallery template that I like and would like to share the "look" with CRG template. Having done this between Autoexec and Gallery, I am confident I am doing it right. But the Gallery look does not translate over to the CRG page.
